Trixie backpacks are water-repellent — which means they'll handle a rainy school run or an accidental puddle splash without a worry. The water-repellent coating keeps the contents dry during everyday use. They're not fully waterproof for submersion, but the acrylic coating does a brilliant job of shielding your child's belongings from the kind of weather a typical school day throws at them. Keep in mind that frequent washing can gradually reduce this coating over time, so spot cleaning is always the gentler option.

Durable products only stay durable when they're cared for properly — and that's something we feel strongly about! For everyday stains, we recommend removing spots with a damp cloth. If a deeper clean is needed, wash at 30°, avoid tumble drying as it affects the recycled materials, and never use bleach, as it can leave white marks on the organic cotton. Avoid dry cleaning too, as it can cause shrinkage. The gentler you are with the backpack, the longer it'll last — and the more adventures it can go on.
