Durable products only stay durable when they're cared for properly — and that's something we feel strongly about! For everyday stains, we recommend removing spots with a damp cloth. If a deeper clean is needed, wash at 30°, avoid tumble drying as it affects the recycled materials, and never use bleach, as it can leave white marks on the organic cotton. Avoid dry cleaning too, as it can cause shrinkage. The gentler you are with the backpack, the longer it'll last — and the more adventures it can go on.

No, Trixie stainless steel bottle caps and Tritan™ bottle caps are not interchangeable. Each bottle type has its own dedicated cap designed to fit securely and prevent leaks. When ordering a replacement cap, make sure you select the correct one for your bottle type — stainless steel or Tritan™. Not sure which bottle you have? The material is indicated on the product page of your original bottle.

Yes, every Trixie replacement cap includes a polyester carry strap. Your child can use it to carry the bottle by hand or clip it onto a backpack, so the bottle is always within reach during school or outings.

The bottle stays nicely leak-proof as long as the cap is screwed on properly and the spout is closed. Just make sure the valve always stays in place: without it, the bottle won't be leak-proof anymore.

Machine washing is not recommended, as it can degrade the water-repellent coating over time and affect the shape of the bag. Always air-dry flat or hanging, away from direct heat or strong sunlight to preserve the fabric and print.

Yes. Both the silicone sippy cups and Tritan™ bottles from Trixie Baby are dishwasher safe. The silicone cups are also microwave, freezer and oven safe. For both materials, it is best to disassemble the cup before washing so hot water reaches all surfaces. Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling — trapped moisture is the most common cause of mould in baby cups.

Most babies are ready to start practising with a straw cup from around 9 months, once they can sit independently and have started exploring solid foods. Some babies show readiness a little earlier (from 6–7 months) and others take a bit longer, both are perfectly normal. Look for signs like strong head control, good sitting balance, and curiosity about what you're drinking. From around 1 year, a straw cup often becomes the go-to everyday cup for water and milk on the go.

Disassemble the cup fully, lid, straw, valve and any silicone pieces — before washing. Most Trixie cups are dishwasher-safe on the top rack; rinse with warm water first and place small parts like straws in a cutlery basket so they don't get lost. For hand-washing, use warm soapy water and a straw brush to clean the inside of the straw thoroughly.

Trixie's activity playmats are suitable from birth. In the early months they provide a safe, soft and visually stimulating surface for tummy time. As your baby grows and starts to reach, kick and eventually sit up, the playmat continues to be a great space for play and exploration.
